A garden design contest where everyone wants the best pond on the block. In Garden Lake, Uwe Rosenberg's cozy polyomino puzzle, you lay out tiles to build water gardens full of water lilies and koi, then score the groups you manage to grow.
The drafting twist is clever: your tiles sit in a line and you can only take from either end, or snag the nearest end of your neighbor's line. Finishing rows and columns pays off, and covering the right spots earns bonus tiles. It plays solo, but it shines with three.
