Land vs Sea

Land vs Sea

Two players. One shared map. Wildly different goals.

Land vs Sea is a gentle, gorgeous tile laying puzzle where one player builds out land and the other builds out sea, using the exact same double sided hexagon tiles. Every tile you place could help you or help your opponent, so the tension comes from clever placement, not from luck or conflict. There's no reading required to play, no violence on the tiles, and no need to yell across the table, just quiet, satisfying strategy that unfolds like putting together a living map.

The artwork leans into old world cartography, all soft colors and playful little details tucked into the corners of each tile, like tiny sea monsters, hidden villages, and grazing sheep. It's the kind of game that looks as good on a coffee table as it plays at one.

Land vs Sea shines as a two player game for a quiet night in, a first date, or a rainy afternoon with a partner or friend. It also scales up to three players with an asymmetric role, and four players in teams, so it grows along with your game nights. Scoring starts simple (just complete your areas) and you can layer in mountains, coral, caravans, and trade routes whenever you're ready for more depth, which makes it just as welcoming to newer players as it is rewarding for folks who love a good puzzle.

If you love the meditative pull of Carcassonne but want something built for two, or you're looking for a low conflict, cozy strategy game to add to your shelf, Land vs Sea is a lovely fit.
