Each turn a player places a tile, slowly growing the medieval streets of Carcassonne. Whenever you close a road that has a child illustrated in your color, you get to place one of your pawns on the board. No math, no scorepads — the first player to place all their pawns wins. Simple enough for a four-year-old, enjoyable enough that the grown-ups at the table genuinely want to play too.
The tiles are chunky and colorful, the rules click in minutes, and it's an easy stepping stone toward the full Carcassonne game when they're ready for more. A genuinely lovely kids game — not a dumbed-down one.
