Yokai Carnival

The Yokai Carnival comes around once a year, and the spirits of Japanese folklore are ready to parade. As a Troupe Leader, your job is to gather more Yokai than anyone else and claim the title of Yokai King.

Each turn you draw cards, play Yokai into your growing lineup, and use abilities to extend your own parade or throw a wrench into everyone else's. Match colors to summon powerful Yokai Leaders for big effects, or trigger a Rampage to flood the board with chaos. When the decks run out, the player with the most cards in their parade wins.

The artwork is inspired by traditional Japanese folklore and rendered in a gorgeous anime and manga style, with each card featuring a distinct Yokai from Kappa and Tengu to the fearsome Gashadokuro. Games move fast - usually 15 to 30 minutes - making this a great pick for casual game nights, family play, or anyone who loves Sea Salt and Paper, Faraway, or Castle Combo.
